Fun With Lists... Song Title Not In Lyrics

As you will soon find out, I love lists. I have been thinking of making a list of all the cool songs whose title does not appear in the lyrics. I don't know why, I just think it's cool when groups think "outside the box" like that. And it seems to me to happen more often with rock's legends than in the pop genre or any other. So here we go, in no particular order, 10 of these songs...

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Unchained Melody - Rightous Brothers
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Baba O'Riley - The Who
Young Lust - Pink Floyd
Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
A Day In The Life - Beatles

Ok, I'm totally drawing a blank now. I thought I could come up with 10, and I'm not even totally sure Zep doesn't sing "immigrant". Shows how rare this is... anbody have any other ideas?

A day later, I have come up with at least three more...

Bad - U2
Space Oddity - David Bowie
Brain Damage - Pink Floyd

I know Brain Damage is always played with Eclipse on the radio, and "eclipse" is mentioned, but I think technically they are two separate songs... so there! Stop being so picky...

I would have loved to have seen this as a category on $25,000 Pyramid... and see the blank stare... hee hee hee

More later...

    ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE

  2. Yes, but I didn't want to count the instrumentals. Led Zeppelin actually has a few others I didn't think of at first... D'yer Mak'er, Over the Hills and Far Away, probably many others...
